The Man with Glass Eyes
the man with glass eyes
may sit in his house
and he watches your fingers
as they dance on the keys
and the man with no eyes
winks to himself
as he watches
himself
watch
you.
the man with no sight
can see you each day
He can see you each day
Till he knocks on your door
Has no ears for your pleas
Only eyes for your hands
and he binds them with strings
And he smiles alone
The man with glass sight
Cannot hear your tune
But he sees your fingers
When they aren’t around
and he crafts all his dreams
With the simple desire
For you but to become
The one puppet he is.
